The Carriage House located behind the Sandford House overlooks the
award winning garden with waterfall and ponds. The adult swing and the
gazebo are available for all tenants. The Carriage House is NS except
outside The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, hardwood floors,
tall wood ceilings in the living room and dining room. Dishwasher,
washer/dryer and off street parking are included. It has a gas furnace and air conditioning.
The yard has won a Friends of Covington award. The back yard is a
Japanese garden with ponds and waterfall. The gazebo and adult swing
are available to all tenants.
Sandford House is a 200 year old mansion located in Seminary Square.
Built for a private residence it became the President’s home for the
Western Baptist Theological Institute in 1835. The house had many
varied occupants through the years. In 1990 to 2001 it was a Bed and
Breakfast. A number of actors and musicians stayed here, but our claim
to fame was having the phantom from Phantom of the Opera stay for eight weeks.$850/mo plus utilities.
